Buckle up!!
Who knows, this guy could end up being the best forward of the entire 2011 draft. That article projected him as the fourth best player behind only two other forwards and he was ranked number one for awhile. So, you feel pretty damn good at taking him 8th overall.
Maybe this is Jeff Carter with less scoring punch, but better defense, utilization of size and attitude.
I just hope another move or two can be made before the start of the season in order to ensure more immediate success. We can't expect Schenn or Couturier to start with the Flyers right away.
Couts used his size in junior to protect the puck in order to make plays. At 6'4 he should be able to do that at the pro level too. He has virtually NO mean streak though. If you're looking for a power forward who's chippy, you'd best look some place other than Couturier.
He's gonna be a very good player but he certainly doesn't have "attitude". If anything this kid is kind of meek and needs to be motivated.
You guys got a blue chip forward who plays both ends of the rink. IMO, if he can improve his skating he could very well be an elite forward in the NHL.
