He was a better rebounder, defender, & ball handler than Lebron.

Rebounds per game...

LeBron: 7.1
Scottie: 6.4

Not sure who is really the better ball handler but LeBron averages more assists per game as well. And I realize LeBron has the ball in his hands more than Scottie did.

LeBron: 6.9
Scottie: 5.2

His waning retirement years lowered his averages. You are also only looking at assists. Look at turnovers & TO/ASST ratios.

Lebron handles the ball, Pippen didnt most of his career.
Lebron is easily a better passer.

Uhh think again.
Lebron is actually a better rebounder, probably not offensively but definitely defensively.
Ball handler, dont know where you came up with that one. I guess it is just a guess on your part.
Lebron is also a much better passer and by far a better scorer.

Lebron is easily better than Pip. Pip closes the gap a bit with his elite defense

You guys are killing me...:pound:

Prime Pippen averaged 7.3-8.7 rpg. Assists is not the only stat when it comes to ball handling skills. You guys are looking at overall for career averages that include 4 waning years of 35+ Pippin that don't also include those same years for Lebron.

The man is mentally ill and suffers from delusions of grandeur. He is the counterpart of Cal Ripken in baseball and Brett Favre in football. He is the most overrated basketball player in history not named Bill Russell.

"He's actually better than LeBron right now!" - @SJ76

Oh Scottie!! He's not as pure of a scorer as Lebron, but the rest of their game is pretty comparable.

Ask Pipp's fellow competitors about him being over-rated. Voted 8-time all NBA 1st team by his peers. Only Jordan, Kobe, The Glove, KG, and Duncan have 9.

I'll agree with his peers. He was a damn good player.

Horry doesn't even have enough fingers for all his rings.
Assuming he wants to wear them all on one hand.
He actually has TEN fingers (7 rings).

You are trying way too hard. Lebron has always been a more conistent rebounder also Lebron being the main ball handler it is harder to grab rebounds. Lebron prime averages 8.6 rebounds as well while being the main ball handler. In the playoffs his numbers are even better. This year he averaged 9.5 rebounds while also being the ball handler.
Pippen averaged more than 6 assists 3 times. He was a good passer but not what he was known for. Lebron has always been a greater passer and can make any pass, that's why he is comparable to Magic (probably the best passer of all-time or top 3).

THIS^^^^^^^

Defenders didn't move out of the way when a player is trying to score like they do now days.

Pippen and Blazers had the Lakers on the ropes in 2000 I believe.. Game 7 WCF and Lakers were down 15, then Shaq, Kobe, and Co came back.

Pipp with no MJ had the Bulls in the ECF game 7 vs Knicks.

Yeah he didn't have the game winners MJ had, but who did? He was the key to the Bulls D and pretty sick when slashing to the hoop

I remember when Pippen pulled himself out of that game because Phil drew up the final play for Tony Kukoc, and even when Kukoc hit the game winning shot, Pippen refused to celebrate w the team.

All you ever need to know about Scotty Pippen is right there.

The facepalm icon is insufficient for this post.

There isn't a single thing on a basketball court that Lebron can't do better than Pippen could except look ugly.

No way a completely average shooter like Pippen could score 25+ in today's era unless he was on one of the worst teams in the league and was allowed to shoot 30 times a game.

Pippen was just barely over a 30% 3 point shooter if you take out the 3 years that the NBA idiotically went to the shorter 3 point shots.

Robert Horry > Scottie Pippen

All damn day. And he wasn't cancer in the locker room either.

Yeah those 6 rings could have been 8-9 right? :facepalm3: The ONLY thing Scottie ever did that I question was when he sat and cried on the bench, then Kukoc hit the game winner.

Hell all those last second shots MJ took and then Phil said Tony's is getting this one.. LOL Scottie flipped.

Don't forget the YEARS Pipp was top 5 in the NBA in steals too. Cat-like quickness :boxing:

I love to bag on Lebron, but as a defender, Pippen may be around what Lebron is. As far as offense goes, Lebron's ridiculous as the guy is this generation's Magic Johnson. He could drop a triple double every night and team's always have to game plan for him. I don't recall anyone ever saying that about Pippen.
