Northwestern has led the previous four games at halftime.
Northwestern has won in Lincoln before.
Northwestern was one Hail Westerkamp away from winning in Lincoln twice.
Taylor Martinez led Nebraska back to win in 2012 in the 4th quarter in Evanston. This is the game where Cain Kolter commented that they had not practiced on doing the silent count in their own stadium. We were LOUD at Ryan Field.

It was 10-3 at the end of the 3rd Q. (A 7 point lead)

It was 13 - 6 with under 4:00 remaining in the 4th Q. (A 7 point lead)

NW kicked a FG to make it a Final 16-6. (A 10 point win)

Stanford had 2 turnovers to NW 0.

I hardly call that "kicking the piss" out of them. Looked more to me like Stanford couldn't get out of it's own way.

Not to take anything away from NW, but that was the first game of the year and most teams make a lot of improvement from week 1 to week 2.

Stanford had a new starting QB for that game, but if Nebraska doesn't play close to their best game tomorrow, don't be surprised to see a loss for us. One of the keys in my opinion is a two score lead going into the 4th quarter is going to be CRITICAL considering how Riley and company makes end of game decisions.

Confidence and clean play. That's what I'm expecting to carry over out of the Minnesota game. I think we shut down NW's ground game, and our DB's finally have a good game and we hold them to just under 200 through the air.
