I don't know if this is a rumor or fact. 20M to KC this year. I guess that hurts our FA spending this year.

I'm not sure what sense this makes to tag him now. Not saying it didn't happen, but if he got tagged today, they'd have to clear out cap space to accommodate his tag and the most direct way of doing that is cutting RGIII. If so, that would've made news too, and, as far as I know, that hasn't hit the news wires yet. (The Redskins could've also re-worked other players' contracts to make cap room, but you'd also think we'd have heard about that too.)
This doesn't mean that they will tag him ASAP. It just indicates that they will tag him at some pt (unless he is extended prior to this). This is complete non-news.
Watch the link that Deanpet provided. This is all conjecture from Schefter & another example of how his reporting skills are regressing to the pt of being a joke.
Wasn't a fan of how he decided to report JPPs info out of the hospital tho. Regardless of legit or not, seemed unnecessary to me.Schefty still remains tops on legit breaking news, IMO.
If he puts together a year better than last year? People will clamor for the team to pay him whatever he wants. And if he plays better next year, he will be playing at an elite level which most likely means the team did well, including another playoff visit and maybe a win or two. Under this scenario, the team WILL pay him whatever he wants.SO out of curiosity, how does this play out should Kirk play under the tag and actually do better??

That's when the brinks trucks start backing up to Cuz's front door.
