“Just as these news outlets predicted and Ms. Johansson feared, the Picture’s box office receipts for its opening weekend were significantly below the opening-weekend performance of Marvel’s previous films and have ‘suffered [a] steeper-than-normal decline’ since then.’ In short, Disney’s strategy to lure viewers away from the theatres and toward Disney+ worked,”

....the lawsuit states.

Why should I pay $10+ per ticket X 4, another $40 for junk food, just to have some dumbphuck with a cell phone in front of me and some ho that's to cheap for a babysitter bring her newborn to the 10:00 pm show, when for the cost of 1 ticket I can see it at home?

I disagree. The Rock is one of the biggest earners in Hollywood and has been for some years now.

Nothing to disagree with. It’s a fact. His star began shining much more recently than Scarlett.

releasing on Disney+ has been very successful for many movies so far.

she should have been onboard with that idea
Maybe during negotiations she asked for $30 mil and they offered her $20 plus bonuses from box office sales.
Then they pull a fast one with the streaming and she gets no bonus.

Devil in the details?

I'd be curious to know what sort of benchmark bonuses she was lined up for...

So much for not caring.

movie theaters being closed and the option of releasing to Disney+ was an idea that was kept from her?

The contract that was signed had only an a theater release with Scarlett getting a piece of box office proceeds.

Without informing her they released it on Disney plus and theaters at the same time. She gets no cut from the Disney plus sales.
And clearly the Disney plus option greatly affected the theater box office sales to be lower.

Open & shut case.

I can almost guarantee you will hear the 2 sides have settled out of court. They will be cutting her a nice check.

He’s the laziest poster on either board. Doesn’t even attempt to research his own bullshit.

movie theaters being closed and the option of releasing to Disney+ was an idea that was kept from her?

According to the complaint, Ms. Johansson’s representatives sought to renegotiate her contract after learning of the dual-release strategy for “Black Widow,” which she has said is her ninth and last Marvel movie. Disney and Marvel were unresponsive, the suit said.
The decision to put the movie on Disney+ is projected to cost Ms. Johansson more than $50 million, a person familiar with details of her contract claimed.
I really don't understand your position here.

It is not just women. Dwayne Johnson also got the short end on this, he just said he has no plans to sue.
Everybody is in a different position. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Dwayne Johnson had a Maui series in development for Disney+.

You have no facts. Just ignorance as usual.

Your hero is #17 FYI
lol

how about you take the Avengers movies out of the equation because without those star studded movies, the top 3 aren't top 3.
