The redskins absolutely do need another cornerback, but it's hard to believe that the guy they reallyreallyREALLY wanted was Orlando Freakin' Scandrick.
Was that guy EVER good?
He was definitely good, and if you watched the Skins/Boys games, you know that. But at 31 - coming off his worst season and being injury-prone... this isn't the kind of signing I'm happy with. If the Skins keep signing injury-prone players, they better not whine if they get injured. The redskins absolutely do need another cornerback, but it's hard to believe that the guy they reallyreallyREALLY wanted was Orlando Freakin' Scandrick.

Well, they got Blackmon over the waiver-wire - probably for the veteran minimum or close to it. Presumably, they're paying Scandrick as much as 5 mil a year.again i think they are hoping for another blackmon type of situation where he comes in and plays well for a year or 2 and can bounce back to safety in case of injury . its a stop gap move and sometimes you have to make them .
i think we downgraded at CB and in a big way
thats a max , i dont think he will get that , count the guarantee money . but you are very much right , i was just trying to put a positive spin on itWell, they got Blackmon over the waiver-wire - probably for the veteran minimum or close to it.
