Looks like we can stay away from CB in the draft. Norman, Scandrick, Moreau, Dunbar and Hosley. If Scandrick is going tob e our Nickel then there is a battle in training camp for the other outside CB between Moreau and Dunbar.

I curious what type of money Scandrick got. 2 year deal up to 10 mil sounds pricey.

Looks like a good signing. When healthy, Scandrick is a good corner, particularly at 5M/year. Will he be/stay healthy is the question.

On the surface I don't like this. I've been wrong before though. I'd still like to see DRC in here, but that's probably not happening. I guess I just don't trust Dunbar on the outside yet. He's gotten better each year though. I'll give him that.

I've seen Scandrick get torched.....when he's not hurt or suspended for PEDs. I hope I'm wrong and would welcome some crow on this.

That money could be used on Hankins. We don't need Scandrick what so ever!

the contract is a "max " 10 mil . its a stopgap signing for a 30 plus guys . it will probably help stave off drafting a cb early but we have downgraded at the position

The redskins absolutely do need another cornerback, but it's hard to believe that the guy they reallyreallyREALLY wanted was Orlando Freakin' Scandrick.

Was that guy EVER good?

OK no trying to pick a fight, but my sarcasm button might be stuck in the on position.....

Hence the only way I can respond to the above question is to say....

In Bruce we trust?? :noidea::scratch:

He was definitely good, and if you watched the Skins/Boys games, you know that. But at 31 - coming off his worst season and being injury-prone... this isn't the kind of signing I'm happy with. If the Skins keep signing injury-prone players, they better not whine if they get injured.

again i think they are hoping for another blackmon type of situation where he comes in and plays well for a year or 2 and can bounce back to safety in case of injury . its a stop gap move and sometimes you have to make them .

i think we downgraded at CB and in a big way

Well, they got Blackmon over the waiver-wire - probably for the veteran minimum or close to it. Presumably, they're paying Scandrick as much as 5 mil a year.
