Reports say the Rams have interest in Sanchez following Bradford's injury.

First off, why would they be interested in trading for a guy they could've just picked up in FA?

Second, how in the world do they think he is a better option than Hill or Davis who already know the system?

The season is a loss. Just hand the ball to Davis and see if he can do anything because Hill offers nothing for the future. Davis might.

Not sure if he would bite, but why not offer a pile of cash to Orton?

I don't think this Sanchez rumor is legitimate. Fisher has already stated he is going with Hill and that they have not been on the phones with anyone. Whether anyone believes that are not is another matter but we be absolutely stupid to even remotely consider Sanchez as a possibility.

Too funny fordman. :pound:

I figure anyone the Rams run in right now will be simply to be a warm body to get through the season. At least with Orton, or Tebow like someone else said, you can do that on a one year deal and not lose anyone in a trade.

Well if it is going to be a warm body approach, then bring in Tebow. At least the guy is big enough to be a third running back at the drop of a hat.

I'd offer KC a trade for Murray. They drafted him in the 5th. Why can't we offer them a 4th?

I don't think we should do anything brash like offer Sanchez a starting job. The NFL media is a joke and will say anything to grab headlines. I seriously doubt Fisher has even blinked a thought of Sanchez as he's no better than a 2 oz. barf bag. Sorry I can't stand the guy.

I think The Rams should really take a look at Davis and Gilbert this year. What if they surprise and say ... Davis turns out to be a Russel Wilson type? If Davis and Gilbert end up sucking eggs then you know what you have and you go with Hill. At least we know he can win us some games.

How would you guys feel about Bulger coming out of retirement? I thought about that earlier during a fantasy football draft with some friends. We all agreed Bulger didn't have much to work with in his last 3 years as a QB and he kept getting beat up. Have to admire Bulger's courage.

I admire Bradford and its a shame his tenure as a Ram is over. However, the Rams took the big risk drafting him after he had that knee injury and we gave him $50 million...

Not that I'm an advocate however....

Sanchez has done well in the Philly system. He is actually their highest rated QB (112.5QBR) over Nick Foles' (73.6QBR).

Beyond his QBR, here's his stat line this preseason...

3GP; 31ATT; 25CMP; 80.6PCT; 281YDS; 9.06AVG; 93.7YPG; 34LNG; 2TD; 6.5TD% 1INT; 3.2INT%; 0SCK

Good Lord, please, not Bulger! :L

And ShaneC, it wasn't his knee he had surgery on, it was his shoulder. And from what we all saw from his pro day, it wasn't a issue at all, much less a big risk.

I totally agree jacobarch. We have three pretty decent QB's. We don't need to trade for anybody just yet and I really think Hill and Davis can get it done if Hill gets hurt. Fisher has already stated he is going with Hill and the Rams have not been on the phone with anyone. I still think Davis is going to be the guy eventually.

Feel bad for you Rams fans. Sincerely, and for Bradford, that poor bastard cant stay healthy.

Thanks Peter. That is very respectful of you and your sentiments are appreciated.

Sanchez may not be a bad move for the Rams. I think he got a bit of a bum rap with the Jets. He took them to the AFC championship game in back to back seasons.

Then the Jets decided that they needed to open up the playbook and have him start "making plays". That may have been fine, except that they also got rid of all of his offensive weapons. As someone pointed out, he's looked good in Philly so far. Obviously, it's the pre-season, so you have to take it with a grain of salt.

Best case: The Rams bring him in, he shows that the change of scenery was a good thing and the Rams possibly have a bit of a quarterback controversy when Bradford comes back next season.

Worst case: It turns out the problem was that he just plain sucks and the Rams cut him.

You might be right TJF12. Vita is stating something similar. We shall see what Snisher do in the coming weeks with regard to Sanchez after Fisher's pronouncement that he is going with Hill.
