QUOTE=ChiefsLakers67;3894952]Goes back to what I said during preseason. It all depends on cohesiveness. Cohesive teams are certainty capable of beating more talented ones. Sample was the game last night...

But hey, it was only one game. Wouldn't want to be accused of "creaming our jeans", or anything...
[/QUOTE]

I didn't see any of the 2nd half, so my comments are from what I saw from the highlights.
None of the starters played the last quarter + ?
Looks like the Clippers got caught up in a track meet where a bunch of young guns just beat them up and down the court combined with them getting hot and making shots.

Might end up being their best chance on a lot of nights because like I said earlier, the formula to winning in the NBA isn't having 3 slow/old white guys on the court at the same time.

Anyway, I and I would say any Heat fan couldn't be happier about the Clippers losing.
Any time an elite WC team loses, it increases our chances for best overall record and that all important #1 seed in case you are in the Finals.

Hopefully you do it again tonight (but I doubt it):yahoo:

That was a very satisfying and predictable win.

No other team has done less to deserve more accolades than the Clippers

It was only one game, but it helps remind everyone that the Clippers are not necessarily the greatest team in the West.

The hype was getting annoying.

That win was fool's gold (and purple) and you know it. Everybody will be rounding into season form around mid-Decemberish. Get ready for reality to set in, boys. Word.

:lol:Gotta LOVE excuses...
There is no denying it is a nice win for a depleted Lakers squad against an opponent predicted by the "experts" to be an upper echelon Western Conference team. I give the Lakers credit for stepping it up on opening night. But, remember, the season is a long haul.

Well, if I had been predicting last night's games I could have been one of them. Didn't expect that out of the Lakers. Though I do think Doc and the Clippers have been overhyped and also don't think the Lakers will be able to play Phoenix ball the full season.

Why would I not want G.S. to lose?
I honestly don't think they have a chance at the 1 seed, but injuries happen. You never know.

And as far as the 0-2, of course I thought you would lose last night as most people did.
That certainly doesn't mean I am not happy I was wrong.

And if you really think about, YOU also thought they would start 0-2 because I offered you 4-1 to step up to the plate and believe in your teams chances and you didn't.

Amazing the attitude of Laker fans after ONE game.
As far as looking like buffoons, some of your are on your 4th year and still going strong.

And the Celtics will win the NBA Title this year ( NOT )

Lol, whatever you say. This is SO sad and :lame:

You KNOW why won't bet with you, but DO keep trying to flip this around. Funny stuff...

If the Lakers would've lost last night you'd've been all over it like a butt ugly buzzard on a dead field rat. Don't know who you're trying to bullshit...

"This only helps the Heat". Lmfao...:laugh3:

No body should be too high or too low in October. The playoffs are 6 to 7 months away. I do think the Lakers are capable to make the playoffs, regardless is they won or lost last night.

Lets stay grounded

If by "some of you" you mean yourself I couldn't agree more...

As for our "attitude" it just MIGHT be a product of our detractors. It is what it is...

But don't have an attitude about being WRONG or anything. Real men are troopers about that kind of thing and simply move on...
