It does not matter the new owner will be forced to trade up for a Qb .to make a first year splash

Here is what we should look for from Howell. Don’t worry too much about the stats. What we want to see is if he can handle the situation or is the moment too big for him. For all of hieneike’s faults, he was never afraid of the situation. He just lacks the physical tools, but from that first playoff game, we all knew he was a gamer.

This is what we hope to see from Howell. He has the arm. He has the mobility. But does he have the moxie? does He have pocket awareness? Can he move in the pocket and still find receivers? Does he know when to throw it away? Is he situationally aware? Even though it’s one game, we can tell a lot about a player that doesn’t necessarily translate to great stats or even a win. For as we all know, wins are a total team effort.

Not this draft he won’t.
The sell can go down next month or sooner but the timeline what there saying is by March Commanders will have a new Owner that's plenty of time for the new owner to listen etc etc make his/Her Splash on draft day .. I don't expect any coaching changes not in less a coach moves on to another Job

Hell, that’s almost a guarantee. That’s why stats really won’t tell the story.

I couldn't believe who scared Wentz was Sunday. He was terrified. Heinicke will never be tight. Let's see what about Howell.

I have to respectfully disagree. Did TH starting that playoff game move the needle for him? Of course it did. Before that game, no one believed TH would survive that game and go on to be a fairly competent back up qb. Did Purdy’s first start in SF move the needle for him? Of course it did. Purdy is now believed to be a strong prospect. 3 weeks ago, no one knew him other that being Mr irrelevant.
Howell‘s performance may not tell us if he will be a star, but it could tell us if he is a bust If he completely falls apart.

I would go the opposite way. If SH comes out and throws for 300, 3 TDS, no picks with our OL going against a Dallas team with a very good pass rush, we stop looking for a QB until at least 2024. You would have to give SH a shot at starting 2023.

Now, if he comes out and gets annihilated behind our OL, which most of us expect, then that tells us nothing about SH. It simply speaks to the OL.

I agree with most of this.

I think it still would be wise to pick a qb in this upcoming draft if the team likes one, and they are available. Better to have too many prospects than too little, and nothing should be settled one way or another with one SH start - even if it's an amazing start.
