I don't want to be overly pessimistic but Davis was rated as a very late first round to early second round draft prospect. Linebacker was/is a glaring need and perhaps they over reached for him.

Now, there have been debates here over saving draft picks instead of trading for players. This debate could go on and on without agreement, but I believe that we could get fairly wide agreement on wasting picks by over drafting players.

LB was a glaring need. As a unit it was the biggest need on defense. I'm not sure even if Davis works out great. That that would be enough to fix the LB issues. The pass coverage of both Holcomb and Bostic is full on terrible. Combined they've allowed 31 comp on 36 targets/86% comp %, 283 yards, 7.8 ypa and 2 TDs. Wish they gave out how many 1st dn were achieved on those throws as well. As it stands right from a playing time perspe4ctive Cole Holcomb is the Skins best LB playing 96% of all defensive snaps. If Holcomb is your team's best LB. The LBs as a unit on your team need a big upgrade all the way around.

I'd agree the Skins have wasted picks drafting players too high. Here's to hoping Jamin Davis doesn't fall into that category.

We've been getting about what I expected from Humphries. No complaints here. I'm waiting on Brown to be consistent week in and week out.

The Humphries signing never really moved the needle for me. That said, he's been good/average, about what I thought he'd be.

You expected less than 3 catches per game for 7.27 yards per catch, 3 first downs n 0 TDs in 4 games for a guy peeps claimed was a chain mover?

I was hoping for more from Brown, but being as he's a rookie it isn't a shock that he hasn't put many numbers. Hopefully that changes as the season progresses.

Word. After the draft I thought signing Humphries in FA was a little overkill, but I read he worked well with Fitz so.....he's made a play on the winning drive in both victories, but thus far he's pretty much been a JAG.

Yeah, I just checked his stats out. He's doesn't do anything it seems particularly well.

Why aren't they doing something unique, at least temporarily at TE, like using their big WR Cam Sims in that passing role? It would create a matchup nightmare, no?

IMO, the Redskins will need to replace all of their present LB's to have a top 5 defense. Good to see others get a shot.
