That was between Japan and MLB. I guess I should have specified MLB. My bad.
But all it would take is another Ichiro level player to play in MLB their whole career. Far from impossible.

It would. But as of right now there are no threats to the record. Or anyone that looks like they could make a run.

But it's certainly in the realm of possibility, not a totally impossible record to hit like Cy Young's win total or DiMaggio's 56 game streak.

Not totally. But it will take staying healthy and a string of great years. Discipline at the plate, which we don’t see a lot of in today’s game.

Sure, I agree on all that. May never happen. But others listed in this thread definitely will never happen.

If Pujols can play another year or 2 and play well, he has a chance at the career RBI record. He currently has 2135 and Hank Aaron has the record at 2297

And the two grand slams in one inning. The team would have to score at least 17 runs and the next three players would have to be on base for the third attempt at a grand slam. Throw in the odds that a player would even come to bat with bases loaded 3 times would also have to be factored in.
Those odds have to be immense. If two outs were made during that span then only 15 runs would have to score before the last attempt.
