I've heard them (partly cheating, since I looked them up on youtube just now...) and I like "Let the mystery be" and "Sweet is the melody" by Iris Dement. I also like this version of "Our Town" by a British singer called Kate Rusby:

Blind Melon: Change... One of my fav bands of all time. Shannon Hoone lost his life to Heroin. From my time as a young man I personally know the struggles of opiate addiction. This one hits home.
