I realize they are only a couple of points out of 8th place, but the Rags and Canes have 2 games in hand.

What also sucks is the fact that the Sabres have lost all 3 games they played against the Canes, and no one plays against Western opponents.

So while it seems so close, they still have a ton of work ahead of them.

True IPW but the Canes are decimated with injuries. BOTH of their goalies are hurt. True they do have a ton of work ahead of them.
