Actually, Columbus had more SOG in the 1st than the 2nd. It just seemed like more because of the disparity of the shots with Buffalo (13 in the 1st, 6 in the 2nd)

Things I Liked About The Game​

1) The win of course, but more importantly the 1st win at home and at the F'N Center.

2) Vanek - He continues to play hard every game, and I am still loving the line of him, Pommers, and Adam.

3) Enroth! - This guy just keeps on winning even though he hardly gets to start a game. 9-0-1 over his last 10 starts, and he had to make over 40 saves tonight. The Sabres look like they might finally have that decent back-up they've been missing for so long now.

4) Kaleta - I don't care that outside of Buffalo no-one likes him, he plays hard every game, and he really made a difference tonight.

5) Boyes - 2 goals now in the past 2 games, and it looks like he may yet be productive this season?

Things I Didn't Like About The Game​

1) Leino & Myers - Leino can't seem to get anything going no matter what line or position he seems to be put on, and Myers for some reason is looking like then same Myers that struggled badly in the 1st few months of last year.

2) The Sabres once again got a 2 goal lead at home, just to have the other team tie it up. They really need to stop dicking around while the other team pounds away and scores.

3) The Sabres may have won, but they didn't get many shots , and the other team got over 40.


Here's hoping they can go for 2 wins at home on Saturday night.

Exactly where did he turtle? He slipped, got back up and chucked them for a good minute. If anything, it was Marchand who burrowed his head down during the fight.

This is true, and I also forgot to mention that the Sabres PP looked good as well, going 2 for 3 on the night.

I know the BJ's have the worst PK in the League right now, but it was still good to see the Sabres scoring on the PP.
