Nothing ANYBODY says at this points means a got damned thing. Until someone else NOT named Saban takes the job, it really doesn't matter what AJ says, Saban says, or his wife.

And for the record I don't even want him to take the job.

Texas HC Job for Saban
Pros: more $$, chance to win NCs at three different schools thus solidifying greatest coach in history.
Cons: having to deal with many of the offenses which frustrate him; chance that he closes out career on a big downer. Remember: Big12 isn't a top heavy conference with hype; it's the real deal, even in a down year.

I don't see him taking the job.

lol. He had his QB say it? Seriously, though, why hasn't he just come out and say he is staying? It's not that hard and they should be able to work out any raise by now.

Gotta wait on the offer from Texas to know what they are gonna offer first in order to keep Saban as the highest paid or hasnt that been thought of by you. He has a current offer that would boost him to over 7 mil per that is on his desk right now and i am sure there are details he wanted tweaked before he signed that.

Reality is he just signed his last extension and raise package in March of this year and is signed through 2020.

And i doubt seriously that Saban HAD him say it but we all know the question on the mind of all the media is if he is going or not and they are asking anyone and everyone connected or not connected with both Universities to see if they can get the answer. They asked AJ and he told them what he knew to be true at this point and his opinion of what he feels is the answer, cant blame him for that.
