It is pretty remarkable, however, that he played QB for only one year in college before earning the starting QB job. His numbers have gotten better each year he's been in the league.

When QBR no longer is mentioned as a credible measurement of a QB's performance. So, probably never.

^^^^ This. It sux being a Fins fan and having to share a division with 'The System & Machine' up north.

I was very skeptical when Miami took him in the first round for the very reason stated above, but he has definitely surprised me and a whole lotta Fins fans. He just needs some more consistency and some viable weapons to throw to sure would help. Wallace and Hartline are not 'premier' receivers and when we let Brandon Marshall go to the Bears for peanuts he had absolutely nobody to throw to.

The D has been bailing Miami out a lot this year, also.

Should have picked him up to replace Romo instead of Smith. But yeah he has quietly become a very good quarterback.

By my count he has had 3 garbage games, 1 meh game, 1 decent game, and 3 outstanding games. Its not super impressive until you notice that the 3 garbage games happened at the beginning of the season.

I personally think he is a solid franchise QB and never has had the surrounding pieces but he isnt elite or anything.

I think he deserves a little more attention coming off a 37-0 drubbing of SD, but the goose egg part of that win kind of overshadows him...2 really good wins...if they can sweep NE then I think people will start taking notice.
