Bears sign Ryan Mundy. What do you guys think about the signing?

Back up type player, nothing special. He's like the 37th rated Safety in the NFL last season, which probably still puts him above our two.

Mundy = scrub vet minimum type, which is all the Bears can afford right now. Not a bad signing, under the circumstances, but people worrying about safety play aren't going to be relieved.

"He was the 57th rated S last year according to PFF. Conte and weight were both well above 100 with wright coming in dead last."


I was wrong with 37th... but he is better than any we had last season.

Its a need and there's a good chance he'll start, as Wright is expected to bolt.

Yeah I'm not sure who he is; but I suspect he is a special teams player.

Probably our starting strong safety. Would've liked Delmas instead.
But pretty much any safety they sign will be an upgrade.
