NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Ryan Fitzpatrick "is believed to have suffered a hip subluxation" against the Chargers and will undergo an MRI.

We won't know how long Fitz will be out until the MRI is complete. Fitzpatrick was crushed by a Chargers lineman, trying to leave the field on his own before falling back to the turf. He was helped to the Washington locker room and did not return. Taylor Heinicke could be the Football Team's starter for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely not!!! it's going to take weeks to bring Cam up to speed. and since neither TH nor Allen are nothing more than empty vessels, I'd go with Thomas as the option. Hell, he can't be worse and he already knows the offense. I just don't know how they looked at their QB situation and decided that Patrick Fitztragic was the way to go. Now they should know better and act accordingly, but of course, how can they be trusted to do the right thing when given that opportunity before they whiffed!

So what are the realistic options?
Go with what we got
Sign Cam Newton
Maybe Denver will trade Lock for a day 3 pick

Ha Ha very funny!
School me, seriously. Cause every time I see him he’s making plays to keep you guys in the game. He protects the ball and is more mobile than Ftiz. Is he a franchise QB? Idk. But you won’t lose a game because of Heinicke.

You guys could always try to see if the Bears would give up Foles for a reasonable price.

Weeks.... Try ALL season and even then he wouldn't pick it up!

No problem; He's a career backup at best when he's not injured or outright released. See

In his one career start (2018 against Atlanta) he was 33 for 53 for 274 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions then again injured. (elbow) Keep in mind that he again was injured last year in the playoff game against Tampa Bay. So if the best ability is availability, he's not the guy. I do agree that he offers this offense more dynamism at QB, but if the game or any game requires him to throw regularly he's also not the one for that.

Washington doesn't have an starting NFL caliber QB on its roster. To ask any of these guys to step up into that role is just coaching malpractice.
