GK... I know you and I have a fundamental disagreement on this. But I cant fault a man for trying to get every dollar he can for the job he does. And I respect that twice as much in a job like the NFL where any play could be your last. The nature of the league is that from time to time teams will get screwed on a deal. And on the flip side, some times teams make out like a fat rat. So in the end it almost evens out.

I don't mind guys trying to get paid...I don't like it when they go public bitching about the offer.

If Im Allen, here is my pitch.

Im willing to pay you, within reason. I'll give you $x amount guaranteed and give you the ability to make $x amount total based on performance, workouts etc. Plus I will give you something not many other GM's can guarantee you. the change to stick the wood to the guy who fired you twice a year for the next 3 years or more depending on how long HE keeps his job.

wow...just SAW this, lol....Hope we don't draft Jimmie Ward anymore. Buchanon looks great but now maybe our young guys will get their confidence and tackling skills back. Good one-year pick up.

I know we have two young saftey's but in all honesty it would have been a pretty successful draft if one of them takes over to be a starter.

I think if we are being more realistic a good goal would be for Thomas to become a starter at some point and we will still need a long term solution at FS.

3/4 defense needs 5 stars and the other positions are interchangeable. You need stars at FS, SS, OLBx2 and NT. We still need a rangy FS that can fly all over the field and make plays. Having Clark allows us to draft a talent that does not need to start right away.
