It wasn't so much that he wasn't willing to take a pay cut with the Broncos it was more he wasn't willing to take as much of a pay cut as Elway wanted. From what I have heard the Broncos wanted him in the $3-4 million range with a very incentive driven contract. He wanted more guaranteed money and something in the $6 million for the first year type deal like he got with the Jets.

I do wish you well Clady. So sad to see such a great career derailed by injuries like his. Loved watching him operate those first few years.

Wish him well ... Hope he gets all the major injuries , 3 of them behind ... that is a major pile up .. My guess not ..

He has yet to prove that his foot is not retirement type of thing .
