I think what's happened to Russian hockey is sad. When Tikhonov ruled they were fun to watch. Absolutely incredible passing and puck possession. So many pretty goals it was sick.

It was definately a different era. I remember seeing a documentary in which Kasparatis said it was either play hockey or join the Army. Nobody wanted to join the Army.
