So you're basically saying no one should expect the Saints to win?

Yup, I agree with that.
With that said, the Saints might win, but I expect the Saints to lose, and therefore I expect the Seahawks to win.

Is that statement unreasonable? :agree:

saying no one should expect the saints to win is a little ridiculous. The Saints have the 5th best defense in all of football in both scoring and ypg, 3rd best pass defense, and 15th best run defense.

Do you EXPECT the Saints to win?
DO you want the Saints to win?
Do you think the Saints can win this game?

These are all different questions.

I personally EXPECT the Seahawks to take care of business and win the Matchup against the Saints.

I expect another monster game from Marshawn against the Saints, maybe another Beastquake type run, and Harvin will be the wild card. He is SO fast off the line that he will probably open up the entire offensive playbook as far as the air goes.

Our defense? Well, even without the bong squad in game, I am sure we will still be stout when needed.

Regardless, will be a fun game to watch, all the pundits are saying its the game of the week, it should be...

The Saints defense in much better than they were back then. I love how Seattle fans because something happen about 3 years ago with a different coordinator, diff players, and a diff scheme that it will be the same 3 yrs later. This is the best Saints defense in years

You're going to need it cause your facing BeastMode, but also RW, Harvin, Tate, Baldwin, Kearse, better Oline and a D that mauls anyone who comes to town.

Gonna be a fun game, but Seahawks get the W.

I applaud your positive outlook to our MNF contest, but speaking in the here and now Seattle will take this game.
These in fact are the 2 best teams in the NFC.
Seattle is almost unbeatable at home and as a road team NO is about average.
Weather conditions will favor the team that is better at running the ball.
NO has Brees, but we have RW and he hasn't lost at home.
I truly respect your team, but this game is played in Seattle and you should know what that means.
Take Seattle giving 4.5.

Cam Jordan is one of the best defensive ends in the league and Rob Ryan will be dialing up the blitzes. Seattle fans make it seem like this game is going to be so easy and that their HFA will be the reason they win. They just struggled to beat Tampa a few weeks ago at home.

BTW name a QB who Seattle played this year that is better than Drew Brees?

Oh yeah in that playoffs game that Seattle won about 3 years ago, the Saints passed 60 times and ran 22 times....What are the chances it happens on MNF?

Dude, now that is a dumb thing to say cuz it opens you up for you barely beat TB, you lost to the Jets, and squeeked by Atlanta who we just slammed.

See, none of that crap matters. There is a reason why Vegas odds favor Seattle at home.

The Saints are 3-2 on the road and could easily be 4-1 without that miracle in New England on the road. There is a first time for everything. You don't think RW will ever lose at home in his career? Why should anyone watch this game? Seattle should win 70-0 according to the way Seattle fans are talking. The team with the 3rd best offense in the NFL (2nd now after this Green Bay L) and the 5th best defense doesn't stand a chance.

When you have 2 teams with the same or similar record, the home team will always be favorite by 2.5-5 points. If Seattle was on the road to play Denver, New Orleans, Carolina, or New England this week they would be 2.5-5 points underdog as well.

The almighty Seahawks who are so unstoppable at home should've destroyed Tampa AT HOME as the Saints will do when we play Tampa in New Orleans.

Dude, why are you getting so upset that Hawk fans expect their team to win?

Are we supposed to concede to you?

I'm very confident in the Hawks in this game. Doesn't mean that I think that the Saints CANNOT beat them, just that I dont think they will.

There is no doubt NO is an outstanding team and it wouldn't shock me if we lose this game. Who is saying NO has no chance? Certainly not me, and none of us are saying 70-0. You are.

We have the right to be extremely confident in games played at The Clink. A 12 win streak will fuel that confidence. Whether we win by 1 on 40, a win is a win.

I say you are overconfident and a bit immature in your posts.

I don't know. Maybe we like our chances at home when we haven't lost there in almost 2 years? Offensive line is intact, Percy Harvin is a go, and the offense has been clicking the last two games. Excuse us if we think the Seahawks are a really good football team and we're confident going into Monday night.

The comment was about EXPECTING to win.
Vegas expects Seattle to win. They are favored. Does that bother you too?
I said the Saints might win. They might. Nowhere did I say Seattle would win.
I said I expect Seattle to win.
Don't blow things out of proportion.
stop with the "all Seattle fans say......" we had enough of that with the Frisco trolls.

Go Hawks.

Here's the splits for Brees.

Drew Brees Stats, Splits - New Orleans Saints - ESPN

He's obviously still solid on the road but HFA is huge for the Saints. And it isn't just him. It's everyone being able to get it done in less than ideal conditions. Good thing for the Saints that the forecast has changed to clear but cold. If the Saints are going to win then they need to prove that they can move the ball in any condition, not just the dome.

They can. Just not in Seattle in Dec on MNF. Reason books are giving the Seahawks more than the usual 3 points to home team. They still are calling Seahawks as favs beyond home field advantage.
