Actually Washington offered the better deal but Russ wouldn’t waive his no trade clause.I guess, I was right, RW was going to get traded. Denver offered the better deal than Washington.

Because the last time Pete started the season with an unknown QB he made the playoffs. A couple of Natty’s and Super Bowl championship with no name at the time QB’s is pretty goodPete Carrol disagrees with you.
If they traded RW then the rebuild begins with $26 million in dead money hamstringing the situation. A 71 year old PC has zero interest in that.
Please explain to me why this trade would make any sense from Pete's perspective. Not the long term franchise perspective, from the soon-to-retire coach/executive vice president of football operations (note that I throw in his additional title to indicate his power within the organization).
It would appear that Washington offered a better deal, but either Russ didn’t want to go there or the Seahawks didn’t want to trade him within conference

Not really. None of those players are super valuable. Shelby Harris is decent/solid but is past 30. Fant has done nothing remarkable to this point. Lock is a backup QB.Denvers offer is better than 3 first round picks.

I would say it's naive to believe there wasn't some change along with those 3 firsts from Washington's end.Even without the players, 2 firsts and 2 seconds from Denver.

Sorry, you can pull this argument seriously. We have more than enough evidence to infer that. But Shane's link puts that to bed.But we don't know, and may never know. The best pick of either offer is Denver's #9. Picks are like the lottery anyway; still have to hit on those selections. That's where known players boost the value of the trade, even if they're not star level. Seahawks now have a starting TE, a solid DT, and a QB that can bridge to their draft pick, should they go that route.
