Running With The Devils vs Sabres GNT

Important game for both teams tonight, as they have struggled to start off the season on a positive note. The Sabres looked great in their first game, but have really had some problems resulting in them having 2 straight losses at home. The Devils are still looking for their first win, and Brodeur has been looking just as good as Miller has between the pipes.

Both teams should be playing desperate this game, but only 1 will get the W.

Here's hoping for a great game with no injuries on either side.

Devils coach John MacLean halted the team’s morning skate today at HSBC Arena and ripped into his players for being listless and sloppy during one of the drills.

MacLean stopped the drill, called the players over to him at center ice and then began yelling with several profanities mixed in. Then, he made them restart the drill they had been doing. MacLean apparently spotted one player shaking his head after he yelled at the team because I heard him say, “Don’t shake your head.”

“I thought it was a little too laissez faire for a team that hasn’t won a game yet,” MacLean explained afterward.

Maybe the Devils should get assistant coach Larry Robinson to suit up for tonight's game?

I guess the Devils are going with 16 skaters tonight (Adam Mair added to the lineup) plus 2 goalies.

The NHLPA should be focusing on keeping their membership healthy, isn't one of the fundamentals of any union workplace safety?

I think the Sabres are trying to defy logic and win a game without getting a shot on net.

That's what pisses me off about the Sabres.

They are getting no shots and nothing on offense going for them, but as soon as they start to turn it around, they take a dumb penalty.
