Here's an update at the 3/4 point in the Pirates' season. Teams in the NL Central are ordered according to run differential, with W-L record at the end of each team's line:

St. Louis....+106 (586-480) 65-56
Cincinnati....+73 (537-464) 74-49
Pittsburgh...+19 (508-489) 62-46
Milwaukee.. -11 (555-566) 55-66
Chicago..... -98 (453-551) 47-74
Houston... -181 (456-625) 39-83

Note that the Pirates have dropped to third in the division in terms of runs against. Hopefully, the addition of McPherson and Wilson will give the pitching staff a much-needed boost.

The Pirates' season is now a tad past the 5/6 point. This update continues to show teams in the NL Central, ordered according to run differential, with W-L record at the end of each team's line:

St. Louis.....+97 (658-561) 74-63
Cincinnati....+81 (598-517) 83-55
Milwaukee.. +26 (652-626) 67-69
Pittsburgh...+16 (567-551) 72-64
Chicago.... -129 (508-637) 51-85
Houston.... -204 (496-700) 42-95

At this point, I fervently hope that the Pirates can hold off the Brewers, who have picked up 40 RD and 7 games on the Bucs since the last update.

(Note: While making this post, I noticed that I failed to update the Pirates W-L record in my previous update. That should have read 67-54 instead of 62-46. Sorry about that.)
