Rumour - Flames and Pens trade

They're all fired up on Calgarypuck - Supposedly, Robyn Regehr + Eric Nystrom to the Pens for Jordan Staal.

I like it, but I doubt it's going to happen.

but if the pens lose gonchar i doubt they'd being looking to replace him with someone like regehr.
yes they have some good young puck moving d, i just think they'd want something with a little more forward movement to their game especially considering they already have someone to play the role of that big body presence in orpik

Lol, i wouldn't want to take Kotalikmyballs from you, seeing how much you like him. Seriously, i do like Nystrom, Regher and Bourque as well, but for Staal, im not so sure that should happen.

i hear ya on that.... lou traded away the devs number 1 in the kovy deal and next years 2nd rounder in the arnott deal....
kinda makes the 2nd this year and the 1st next year irreplaceable.

This hopefully isnt true. Staal is too much of an asset to the 3rd line like mentioned above. They guys work in the corners alone is top notch.

It's been a very popular thread on the Calgarypuck web site. Supposedly, a good friend of Robyn Regehr started it. I think the Pens might be interested in Regehr, but Nystrom is a UFA. Calgary would have to sweeten the pot for it to make any sense for Pittsburgh.
