I love all three of our backs, but all three are huge question marks.

If we have question marks at RB as people have said then why not a low risk signing

Who?

I think the Front Office does have a plan after all!

Its to draft Trevor Lawrence.

I hope they are going for Micah Parsons. :thumb:

Besides, you need an emergency QB.

We need Logan Thomas to be better than Logan Paulson. Even though he's 28/29, he seems to have untapped potential - being a former QB with excellent size.

McKissic - he's an ok 3rd down back. I'm guessing they liked him because he does have some experience playing the slot receiver and adds some special teams versatility - key word for him is versatility. Only a 4.55 40 for a little guy - guess he's more quick than fast?

I would have thought these types of players would be who we would target in the draft with later picks? In other words, a back up TE and possible 4th pass catching RB.

I am not sure how much these deals are for but my guess is we are not keeping all of these depth signings we have been making. I just hope we stay away from Newton and Winston.

I literally have no idea what the plan for a LT and starting TE is. I am not sure they do either.

I agree in general - though Logan Thomas is a fun pickup - he might be a surprise. And he's a Hokie.

At the end of the day upgrading depth is debatable. Adding depth, is fine, but I don't view the guys they signed off the scrap heap as upgrades. Now maybe they are a fit schematically, that remains to be seen. I understand that the staff thinks they are. I don't expect the team to go 12-4 just because Rivera is here in one offseason.

I do however expect improvement, and don't see how that will be accomplished by the guys they've added. I agree coaching/Bruce being gone will be a big thing and that is probably where the most improvement will hopefully come from, but you still need NFL quality bodies/starters at multiple positions. If you want to go BPA in the draft, wouldn't it make sense to try and fill holes with guys who can start on decent contracts, not bargain basement guys who could not eke out starting gigs elsewhere?

I'm not saying they need to sign the biggest high dollar names, but they do need to address positions with more than hopes and dreams that some $3 million guy is going to be the answer.

I hate to say this but we have no choice but to wait and see how things play out, but I'm concerned so far by the lack of starting quality depth obtained, as well as the lack of movement on the personnel front (trent, dunbar shipped out, Kerrigan restructure, etc.)
