I don't think Bettman will move another team for a long time honestly. He's gonna fight tooth and nail for PHX to stay there, and I have a gut feeling that he's gonna make it work out somehow, even if it's the wrong decision.

Isnt there something up with the Islanders?

I will never understand why the NHL has three franchises within 100 miles, when two of them have no support.

As recent history has shown us, you don't really need fans to keep a team in a market, all you have to do is cut a big enough check.

I just question whether the people of Portland would step up and pay a $65 per NHL game average ticket price versus a $15 per game WHL ticket

when Paul Allen was kicking tires years ago he paid for a study showing the price point was too high for the hockey fans of Portland

however, idk, I totally underestimated the ticket demand in Winnipeg (and I supported that city getting their team back!) so anythings possible
