Some are already quite familiar, such as the 26 man roster and the three batter minimum (or end of inning) before switching pitchers. But I had no idea that clubs are limited to a max of 13 pitchers on the roster.

Previously, when rosters expanded in September, any player on a team's 40-man roster could be added to the Major League club. And while teams usually didn’t use all 40, it was common to see 30-plus players active for a given game in the final month of the season. That often caused longer games in September with teams using a lot more relief pitchers or pinch-hitters in certain situations than they would have been able to with normal roster sizes.

The elephant in the room...Game length.

I like the 3 batter minimum. I get having specialists but it has turned into a complete joke over the last 5-10 yrs and gets worse each season. a starter pitches 6 innings and a team somehow uses 6 pitchers to get the final 9 outs. Over managing was bad for the game
