We are on the verge of sweeping KC, and we have the better record. Yet, they land ahead of us by three spots. I may not agree with his opinion, but at least we don't have to pay for his opinion like ESPN forces us to do with Mel & Mcshays draft recaps.

This is why I'm still a bit concerned about our offense relying on the long ball to score runs... We can't just keep putting up 6, 7 hits or fewer game after game and expect to put a string of wins together... That's something we'll need to change because I don't see us continuing our pace on HR's for the year...

Leonys Martin's early-season struggles continued in Sunday's loss to the Royals as he went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts.

The hitless afternoon drops Martin down to an abysmal .176/.262/.378 on the season. If he doesn't turn things around soon, he could be in jeopardy of losing most of his playing time in the Mariners' outfield.

Definitely has been streaky. Still sporting a WRC+ of 92 before today which isn't horrible. I think with way he plays defense I'm ok with him hovering around that. However his K rate is very concerning. Not sure who they could have to replace him though unless they think Heredia is ready. Aoki has also struggled and no one else plays good outfield defense.

Yeah I agree his offense doesn't have to be great, i don't think any of us expected much offense out of him anyway. His defense is were his value is, but it would be helpful to get a little more offensive production out of him. And truthfully we are a little stuck with him at this point unless they feel someone in the minors is ready to go, the next true CF on the 40 man is maybe Boog Powell.
