Telling you, there will be zero attempt at Cueto and it would be bad money to do so, let him go earn his payday. Edison, Vargas, Ventura, Duffy and Medlen will be KC starting 5 opening day w/ maybe Young returning as LR

Gordon is an outside chance, did hear Theo thinking about him as well. If Gordon was smart, he would sign with KC for the rest of his career and be the next George Brett in this area. Nice VP spot after playing days.

Zobrist is most likely and maybe Orlando/Dyson covering the other OF spot.

KC will sign Zobrist and find 1 FA rehab project like Melky, Frenchy, Morales, Medlen

I don't know what his price is, but he could be a valuable long man and obviously was nice out of the pen in october as well.

I think the Angels go nuts for Gordon. He's their guy. He's the poor man's heyward (who the angels can't afford with their other big money deals).

Gordon does seem to be the poor man's Heyward so Heyward has to leave the market before Gordon.

I'd love to see the Sox rebuild their pen with Duffy and Qualls now.

Duffy's agent would point out that only 16 pitchers have started as many games over the last two seasons with a better ERA+ than Duffy.

ummmmmmm, do you know Luke Hochevar or Wade Davis? they were paid 5-7 as middle relievers after flaming out as starters, that's exactly what KC has built their team around. Strong middle relievers.

Duffy is staying in KC, we got rid of Finnegan and too many other prospects, etc...I am fine if he ends up being a middle reliever, either way being a lefty means he is staying even if Zimmer dominates.

I'd be surprised to see Duffy go anywhere. $2.4m is nothing for a quality lefty that can start or come out of the pen, especially considering the Royals don't have a ton of LHP to begin with.

Unfortunately. I'd love to see them package him with prospect(s) to clear some $ to keep Gordon & Zobrist, but I'm pretty clueless about teams' farm systems except for a few of the top guys, so not sure if that's viable.

I wouldn't. I don't think he's as good as the money he will demand, and he's certainly not as valuable to the Royals as he'll likely be to quite a few other teams. The Royals still probably have the best bullpen without him (or Holland).

Yeah, he's definitely and risk and the 2nd part is definitely right. he's gonna be more valuable to other teams.

I would watch out for the Nats bullpen if it's fully healthy.

Storen/Paps/Barrett/Stammen is a really good core 4 in its own right when healthy.
