No shit. My buddy went to St. Pat's and also went to St. Mary's in MN. He's my age also. He briefly went to Ignatius with me then he transferred to Pat's. Small world indeed. I stayed in Chicago and went to Loyola for college. My track record makes me think I ain't leaving the city.

I love Chicago...to visit...But living there is never in the cards for me anymore. Too much bs with city living. Much less winter and me don't agree.

Same here with me. Moved from there way back in '76. Spent the next 40 years in SoCal, now the last 5 years in Sin City, making that 45 years without having to ever pick up a snow shovel. Love to visit the old stomping grounds every X number of years, but ever move back there? Not gonna happen.

I have a good friend that is a Bridgeporter...Just left this year. He used to say the same thing. You and he will eventually be my neighbors in Florida.

Actually, I'm not too much of a true carpetbagger. My family moved out of the city and into the burbs when I was 5 - didn't have much choice at that age. But I suppose my carpetbagging label is apropos once I left Illinois.
