Bengals have 6 picks total today (Saturday).

What/whom do you want the rest of the way?

I'd say, in no particular order:

* QB (Aaron Murray)
* WR (Robert Herron)
* OL (Antonio Richardson)
* LB (Shayne Skov)
* Safety (Craig Loston)
* DT (DeAndre Coleman)

I think the WR pool in this draft was so deep that talented players have been pushed down a round or two...

Bryant from Clemson should have been a second day pick on his physical skill set alone. I'd like Bryant or a guy like Coleman from Rutgers at this point as developmental players. Herron or Ellington would be great too.

If they go QB Mettenberger or Savage would be my favorites from the players left. With AJ Green on the roster I'd like a QB who can stretch the field vertically

Not sure what this boards obsession with Mettenburger has been all offseason.

Savage, Thomas, Murray > Mettenburger.

Savage, Thomas, Murray > Mettenburger.

I covered it in another thread. He played extremely well against SEC defenses for a former NFL OC and his system.

He has tons of red flags and flaws. That's why he's still on the board. Murray's good, but too similar to Dalton as far as limitations. I'd have no problem with Savage but I prefer Mettenberger because the of their level of competition. Thomas is raw. but I wouldn't mind him as a late round pick

edit- also it's not an obsession. he makes sense on the third day

I wasn't referring to you personally, just noting that there are many QBs in the same 'range' of guys. Tough to pick one over the other.

Without being a homer, I would take Thomas - as he hasn't had any knee injuries like some of the other guys, has a huge arm, and worst case scenario, could play a different position. The last 2 years at VT his stats aren't great, but a lot of that can be attributed to no running game, lackluster WRs, and poor OL play. He for sure has the highest ceiling of the remaining QBs.

Just traded up to grab Russell Bodine out of UNC. Got a Center. That's good news.

From memory it seems that the Bengals don't trade up that often. They must have really wanted this pick...

42 reps on the bench. he's a freak of nature

First trade up since 2002. For Matt Schobel.

Only third trade up in franchise history:

1995 for Ki-Jana
2002 for Schobel
2014 for Bodine

He's already better than the previous trade ups.
Also, as someone pointed out on twitter, Bodine blocked for Gio, could be a plus

So, we traded up for a guy who would have probably been there anyways? Awesome.

Quotes coming down from Paul Alexander on Bodine “I think he will compete right away to be the starting center.”

Gave up the 123rd pick (their original 4th rounder) and a sixth round pick (199 overall) to move up.

There have been quite a few Centers taken. I don't mind giving up a 6th to make sure they got one.
