I had him Late round 4- Early round 5.

Seems like we do that a lot with our 3rd RD DB picks though... He fits out D well.

What's funny is the video they showed he dropped Everything

He had 6 picks. Never said he had good hands lol Also knocks down a lot of passes.

difference between ball skills and good hands.

He just said he had ball skills, DC never said if they were any good or not.

His own balls. ;)

I like that we're drafting press db's; shows that we plan on keeping the press coverage defense we had with Wade Phillips.

Don't forget Langley was once a top U of Georgia recruit.

Okay We drafted him as a punt Returner ... Elway said that .. and one of the other guys talking said he needs developing and would need to shine at PR's to hold on to a roster spot

I don't know much (anything) about Brenden Langley - my first thought was a panic pick - with all the CBs flying off the board in the first 3 rounds. I hope he is a baller. Also punt returner.

I don't see it as a panic pick really because I don't feel we have to "panic" on a CB given our current situation having 3 pretty good ones hopefully Roby bounces back.

I look at it more as. We liked Langley but figured with all the CB's taken no way he got back to us in round 4.

I think we fully would have or should have expected a ton of CB's to go in the first 3 rounds... It should have been expected. Value at CB in round 2 or 3 you knew was going to be amazing.

In a normal draft maybe we could have wait a bit on Langley but we liked him enough not to risk losing him. He probably was going before our 4th rounder.

It sorta reminds me of the Kayvon Webster, Karl Paymah picks. Guys with great tools who went higher then mock draft websites projected, but the real NFL had a much better grade.

Yes - you described the situation I would call panic. Not talking about this situation - and noting that panic was a first reaction - I really hope this kid is good. In theory - I don't think you should draft a guy earlier than you would - because there was a run on his position - what happened to BPA? Now if Langley becomes a good punt returner - and they are able to find a role for him taking Webster's duties - it will be well worth a late 3rd pick. Like I said - I'm just not familiar with this athlete.

Read that Vance said he could help with returner duties as well, so it looks like he is exactly that; a Kayvon replacement..

Panic to me is when you REALLY need a position so you reach..

We could have done that at OL. I don't feel we did it here. Just knew he wasnt getting back to us. I don't feel we "had" to go CB there, but liked a guy well enough to take him there.

If we hadnt grabbed an OL by then, then I could see us panic.

But i get what you're trying to say. I just think we liked him quite a bit.

My post count went up by 400 the last two days.

I am just more technical then you. ;)

Crash doesn't call me a stickler for nothing.

That's the standard for stickler? Wonder what that makes Mingo's nun teachers...

Can't say I'm to impressed with pks so far. Was nervous about ALL tackles but understand the need to take a shot on Bolles. Let's just hope he doesn't drop the baby,I mean ball, and is day one starter and more. Ill see how today goes and then see how it grades out. Right now I give it a C+
