Really happy this is starting Thursday. Playoff hockey is like a drug, and I'm a functioning addict. If I don't get a hit every other day, I can't get anything done. I also can't get anything done the day of a game, or the day after. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I ever really accomplish anything.

I remember getting my invite to the board. I felt so exclusive. Anyone know what happened to Maddog / Unbiased? Weren't they the two that basically ruined that place or am I getting the names wrong?

So, who gets in the first cheap shot of the series? I have Tom Wilson at 4-to-1, although Kris Letang isn't far behind at 6-to-1.

NHL Network just showed the graphic for this series and it was Pens logo / Caps Logo. And the words were Sidney Crosby Vs Alex Ovechkin.


I can't wait for the day when we're past this. This is a great rivalry on it's own. And both teams are too fucking good to focus on those two.

The NHL needs to market its stars, man. Would you expect a Cavs-GSW series ad to not showcase Lebron and Curry? Or a Patriots-Broncos/Colts back in the day to not show Brady and Manning?

The Ovechin vs Crosby rival might be the biggest one for Pittsburgh right now, but I still hate Ron Hextall and those old Flyers teams more.

I forgot to post this in the Rangers/Pens thread, but hopefully at the end of this series I can just photoshop Caps jerseys on these kids. The face of defeat is priceless. The mom was the absolute worst. I thought of asking to bathe in her children's tears but thought better of it. They were in my row for Game 5.
