That leaves 7 spots. I don't have any idea what BB is thinking so I won't fathom a guess from here.

I expect to see BB making phone calls and trades today for at least 3 spots.
It's more complicated because it's not just about what players did, but also what slots need to be filled. Cyrus was slotted as a CB so you can't just add in Carr or Foster for his spot. I'm also not saying your analysis as a whole isn't pretty good, just that you really need to consider more, especially positions needed.

Eh, considering how far Cyrus was down the CB depth chart, returning kicks really was his primary slot on the roster. A 5th or 6th RB vs a 6th CB is pretty equivalent when it comes to the final spots on the 53.

But that's just not true. We all have an idea what he's thinking. He's thinking "what is best for the team"? Often he goes against a grain but more often he's shooting straight at the odds. Much like a card counter, BB has narrowed down the odds for any situation far better than almost anyone else.

But back to the final cuts.... Look at the positions and the count each needs, subtract the locks, account for the flexes and we have a good idea, from who's left, who the bubble players are who will make this team. If a position of need has a player who shouldn't make the team then a deal may be made. Make no mistake, if after 52 have been accounted for and a linebacker is needed and Carr is left... Say hello to the practice squad Mr Carr.

As for the flexes, is there room for both Carr and Foster since they kind of cover the same flex? I'd give Foster the edge since he seems to be a little more versatile. Carr certainly has the Edelman clone thing working in his favor.

I think we got our answers at CB. With Jones on IR and Coleman traded that leaves the last battle to be between Moore and Likely. I know a lot don't like Cy Jones, but he was a depth CB on this team and was going to handle punts, that was huge!! So we either find another guy who can do what he did (CB/PR...Likely) or we keep a CB and get a PR and that is 2 roster spots compared the 1 spot Jones took up. Gillmore, MB, Rowe, J.Jones, Moore/Likely....does BB keep 6 CB? I thought Moore was better in camp than Likely was....if only we kept LeBlanc.....but he did have ST value, this one still bugs the fuck out of me.....Jones and Coleman kept over him.

As of 9:00 Am Saturday 9/2/2017, Danny Amendola has moved into the Punt Returner slot. KO returns will be handled by Dion Lewis. By 4:30 PM EST, this may change.

Can't say I'm loving this. Get rid of Bolden and find a guy to return punts and kicks. Damn I don't care if he can even return them just catch the friggen ball and I'll be happy.

I like it. They're the two best guys for the job on the current roster and they have enough RB and WR depth to pick and choose their spots to use them on offense and manage their overall touches.

If somebody useful shakes loose after 4:00 great but this is what's best for the team right now.

Anyone interested in Devin Taylor the DE released by NYG? I think he'd be a nice situational pass rusher, good size, maybe a little work needed against the run. I don't think he makes it all the way down to NE anyway.

TJ Ward released.

I don't believe Ken is advocating this move. He's just sharing with us what he's hearing.
The regular group of posters on here have agreed for the past couple seasons we didn't want JE or DA back there fielding kicks.

BB find us a returner.

NE trades for Johnsom Bademosi for a 1019 6th round pick. CB from Detriot. Can't say I've ever heard of him. Core ST player, 6' 200# no mention of his ability to field kicks :tsk: But . while he was with Cleveland he led their team on ST tackles.

This could be the end to Bolden?

Could be the end for Ebner.
This guy is big enough to be a backup safety
Might mean end for Richards too.....
Good Pickup!

I think BB still tries and find a PR/KR/WR type before long. Or maybe I'm just hoping:hope:

Travis Rudolph released from Giants.
Rookie led NY in receptions but more importantly he returned 3 kickoffs for an average of 22 yards.
Can he get all the way through waivers????? Doubtful

This kid is an expensive gunner. Good enough to replace the injured Slater.....

Man wouldn't it be nice to have an electrifying returner? Last time I was excited about a returner was when Demps was going to field kicks.
