Lucky for me, the next one was the first NCG I watched. And it was one of the best NCGs of all time.

We are not hurt by a first year head coach in my opinion, Riley is wise way beyond his years.

I don't think either is a disadvantage. It's 13 games for both teams, they're both essentially in their second year now.
