So RoRo went 40 PA this year before drawing his first walk. Kind of an astounding figure for ANY regular player, much less a leadoff hitter.

Question: there is a current major league starter who has had 71 PA without a walk yet this year. Who is it?

::cue Jeopardy music::

And please phrase your answer in the form of a question.

I cheated, so I will not give the answer (although, it was the first name that came to my mind).

I am slightly surprised because you would think that teams would pitch around him, though...

I was going to type, "Who is Juan Uribe?" Cal's hint threw me off, so... Who is Troy Tulowitzki?

all good guesses. Incorrect, but good.

As Cal said, when I did the research he was the first name I thought of. I would never have guess 70+ PA though.

Who is bad vlad?

The surprise over 70+ PA was the giveaway, btw.

AKA "Panda Sr.".

I have not followed his career super closely, but I would assume (even in this, the twilight of his career), he would get enough IBBs that he would not put together a serious stretch like this. I guess teams pitch him the same way Panda was pitched to last season (ie, unintentional IBBs -- let him maybe get himself out instead)

Yup. He's swinging at more bad pitches than ever before, which is inconceivable:
