Guys like Gronk and Graham they are a rare bread, not in the talent they possess but in the hybrid position they play. Ok and they are pretty talented but, any guy that makes it to a starting position in the NFL is a freak of nature talent. What really separates these two TEs from the rest is the way the Pats and Saints line them up. They don't try and fool defenses by believing they can fool you into thinking Graham or Gronk are going to stay in and block. They know you know they know they are going to send them out for a pass. That is were the comparisons are all coming from, cause Ebron will be used the exact same way. He is a new age hybrid TE/WR so you really can't go by the average TE's stats in my opinion.

The best reference out there are the Gronks, Grahams and Verns and true those guys have had average at best first years but there are many people saying that Ebron can do even more things on the feild than Graham and Gronk and that thought is very intriguing and I believe worth the risk of a draft pick especially if you can get him later on in the draft with a late round pick!!

OK. . Even if Ebron can be that or more, you've basically just proven what we've been saying. The elite, best of the best, are only average or worse year one. Now if your taking dynasty. . Yeah absolutely go for him he'll most likely be in that class someday. But for rookies this year. . In a standard redraft.. he's nothing more than a Longshot lottery ticket.

If you want a young TE, at the tail end if the draft who will produce points this year, much better bets in Eifert and Ertz this season.

Here's a little blurb from Fisher on rotoworld:

Fisher: Tre Mason is a 'change of pace back'
Rams coach Jeff Fisher labeled rookie Tre Mason as a "change-of-pace back" following May's draft.
Mason could earn complementary carries off the bench this season, but rumors of him threatening bellcow Zac Stacy's starting job are unfounded. "Tre is a change-of-pace back," said Fisher. "Good zone runner, obviously the numbers speak for themselves. He was a guy we just couldn't pass up at that point." Pre-draft reports claimed Mason would need wrist surgery, but the Rams disagreed. "He may have to do something after the season but it was not a concern of ours, nor was it a concern of the doctors," Fisher said of the wrist.

Not looking like the whole "Tre Mason is going to steal Stacy's job" is going to be much of a factor, at least not in the beginning of the season.

Odell Beckham tweaks hamstring again
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

(12:54 pm ET) Giants general manager Jerry Reese said rookie receiver Odell Beckham tweaked his hamstring when he pulled up short on a deep route Tuesday, reports the New York Daily News. Beckham missed a lot of offseason workouts due to a hamstring injury, but thought the problem was behind him. It's unclear when he'll return to practice.

Apparently we have one trying to be a new Miles Austin ..... too bad.

You're Crazy to be a Jets fan first of all and your crazy if you think Amaro will be the TE of the year. I wanted to cover both things because I wasn't sure what you wanted to be called crazy about.

He said rookie TE of the year... setting the bar pretty low (that's what Jets fans have learned to do, I guess).

I think Ebron because of the of all the things I have discussed will be a stud right out of the gate. Outsource I have been wrong but that's just my opinion. I believe he will have a very product rookie year and shock a lot of people even if that means he has to break the rookie record for TEs in fantasy production to do it.

I say that only because he is not going to be used like a TE. He will be Detroits number 2 wr.

Yup, you're definitely CRAZY!

I only say this because Bennett practically disappeared once Cutler got injured and McCown took over. He only had 1 game over 50yds and 1 TD in McCown games last year, and both of those stats came in a blowout loss to my Rams, after CHI started that game off down 0-14 after 2.5 minutes of play time. McCown attempted 47 passes that game, not sure how many times he does that in a TB uniform.
