As always, picking semi winners is tough. Even matchup. I think 500's lineup would score more, like their power, as it's hard to string hits together against excellent pitching. I think the SP is very close, 3 of 5 to Nos. Two terrific pens. Slight bench edge to 500

500 in 7

Pack 500 has better offense
Nos has Starting pitching 3-2
Nos has BP
500 has Ron cey

Ill go pack 500 because i like there offense advantage more than i like Nos's pitching advantage
I think Nos 4-7 is very weak(at least for where they are slotted)

Yeah, he really killed me there.

Carter had a career OBP of .306, that is not good at all... He is more of a 7 or 8 in the lineup... Hrbek at 27 HRs is a weak cleanup hitter(the most important hitter on your team)

I didn't say they were bad players, i just said i don't like where they were slotted in your lineup and i think that hurt your overall offense... Howard should have been the 4 not the 7

Who cares what Carter's OBP was he is in the lineup to drive in runs and he does! Carter averaged more RBI's per 162 than either of your cleanup hitters!

Your cleanup hitters
Strawberry .259 AVG .357 OBP 34 HR's 102 RBI's
Mathews .271 AVG .376 OBP 35 HR's 98 RBI's

My weak cleanup hitter
Hrbek .282 AVG .367 OBP 27 HR's 101 RBI's

WOW THATS A HUGE DIFFERENCE

Howard should have been the 4 not the 7

Based on what 6 more HR's and 5 less RBI's per 162? Or is it because of his lower batting average or lower OBP?

Quit while your behind Milk...

Hrbek Career OPS .848 had over that 6 times in his career with highest OPS being .934... He had over 30 HRs only once in his career and that was 34

Howard career OPS .851 had better than that 5 times with highest being .976, had over 30 HRs 5 times in his career with over 40 HRs 3 times... Most HRs was 48...

Yes he is the clear choice...

and i never said i liked my cleanup hitters... In fact i agree they are weak for being a cleanup hitter... But RBIs are a team stat, yes the better HR hitters get more RBIs, but in a lineup thing like this we might as well forget about RBIs and Runs(yes i brought up runs with the lead off hitters- but that was different in context)...
What you want from your clean up hitters is HRs/slugging, decent average and good OBP... and then RBIs should come...

There you go again thinking your opinion is fact, next time i'll be sure to consult you before setting my lineup. I put Hrbek 4th to keep the lefty righty thing going, something I like to do.

I notice you didn't say anything about my weak cleanup hitter compared to yours.

You are starting to become an annoying windbag...

Your cleanup hitters are weak yet you had no problem ranking your teams 1 & 2... Hilarious
