Orton can make all the throws. Hopefully it has been a good week of practice and can knock off enough rust. If the o-line can give him time he can deliver the ball.

As R.J said, he will need outlets. He is not Romoesque in the pocket. Dump offs to Murray, 2 yard and stop passes to Witten/Beasley, and plenty of runs. I think Orton may have a better deep ball than Romo, so let's see how that factors.

This defense will have to get bodies on McCoy or who is playing QB for the Cowboys will be irrelevant. Do NOT put Carr on Jackson or he will get abused from start to finish. Scan in the only one with the speed to follow Jackson around. I hope Kiffen comes up with a good game plan.

I kinda think with our defense being as bad as it is ... we have to give up on what we do.
Just put our guys in position to make turnovers and stop the big play......

The defense is the defense, so that alone makes me want to buy some 151 to chug on Sunday night. The offense worries me because they are in love with passing, and I'm not sue Orton will change that. Now if he can execut well enough, it could work out. With that said, he plays a very safe game, and his accuracy leaves something to be desired. He's a backup for a reason. I can't get my hopes up with him at the helm, but I'll keep my fingers crossed, and hope some of these other guys can bail the team out.

1. I think you're on to something but I expect Orton to play well. The run game will go a long ways in accomplishing that.

The key to this game IMO is, the Oline. The Dallas Oline must play the best game they've played all year. Not that they have been bad, but Romo can scramble and buy time. Orton is not a mobil QB. I think the boys will have to pass to open the run game, as I expect the Eagles to stack the box. If Orton has time to throw, the Eagles will have to back out of the box. Then a balanced offense should be successful.
