Maybe the biggest non surprise this year. You don't fuck around with a herniated disc. As for the game, yeah, it should make them use Murray more running and maybe some screens and dump offs in the flat too. That can chew up some clock and keep the chains moving if they execute well and it doesn't put the onus on Orton to try and win the game single handedly. If they can do that, it will open up a couple quick strikes to Bryant and let him run after the catch. The Boys might actually win this thing. Of course they will have to get TD's because that defense can't stop shit and Philly will probably score every time they touch the ball, similar to the Denver game.

When has Orton played well when it counted? There's a reason he's not a starter.

He doesn't have to play well to be an improvement over romo. He just has to not throw the game away.

As a Seahawks fan that witnessed an 8-8 team win a playoff game you should know better than to overlook any team come playoff time.

Seattle was 7-9 that year, not 8-8 and they had their full offense going into the postseason.

Which would you rather face: Dallas with a backup at the helm, or Chip Kelly's high flying Eagles? I know which I would fear most. But of course every team that gets in is dangerous. They are all pros. No one knows who will be in the SB, but it is very unlikely that the two favorites are in it as that is quite rare. Someone unexpected is likely to make it all the way.

I just wanna say that Sportcenter SUCKS for spending about 20 minutes over-ANAL-izing the Tony Romo situation. The bottom line is that Romo had back surgery and is out for the rest of the year. Sportcenter spending THAT much time talking about Romo was as pointless as a dog eating its own poop.

Either way the outcome of this game is going to get ugly for Cowboy fans...

All this noise being made about Tony Romo...

The truth is, Sean Lee being out will have more to do with why the Cowboys lose than Tony being out.

It's nuts. You'd think he went all Warren Moon and slapped his wife around or something.

Unfortunately, football fans seem to eat it up, so ESPN is going to keep going with it.

For sure. Romo is still young. I would wonder if he got shot up to play the game if that would cause damage he would feel for the rest of his life. I'm sure we have all heard about how players in the past have opted to play hurt and now have issues after leaving the game. I have never cared for Romo but I don't wish injury on anyone. He did the right thing even if he never plays again.

And it's for this reason alone that I think if you're injured and need to be shot up for pain, you shouldn't be allowed medically to play.

Yeah, the last thing I would want is for a guy to end up in a wheelchair because of some testosterone fueled need to prove to the world how tough he is. They are so worried about concussions right now and rightfully so, (although I've had quite a few over the years but didn't go out and play a full contact sport with them), but they have to be concerned with these other career enders too. Yeah, it's his decision but the environment can sometimes skew their perspective.

Ask any older player if they'd go back and undo a decision to play and I bet none of them would.

The environment is one of competitors and competitors compete. You can't take that away from them.
