with Rodgers going down, I still have Romo...both Cutler and Foles are available...should I stay with Romo, or go for one of these guys?

Can you pick up one and stash them on the bench? If so, I would pick up Foles.

yeah, I ended up doing that, keeping Rodgers, I know Dallas is on bye week 11, hopefully Foles will still be starting for Philly then (not sure what Vick's outlook is)...now i'm debating whether to start Romo @ NO or Foles @ GB

As much as Romo is almost always a must-start, I'd go with the hot-hand Foles against GB.
Saints are giving up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to QBs and the Packers are giving up the 12th fewest. Foles definitely will not have a game like he did against Oakland, but the matchup is much better.

Foles was the hot-hand when he put up 11/29, 80 yds and 0 tds against the Cowboys. I personally need to see a little more of Foles and would feel great starting Romo against the Saints.

I think Money is money on this one. It is great that you were able to grab Foles, but I would still start Romo this week.

:agree:................but of course I was burnt in 2 leagues by the "Foles Follies" against the Cowboys.

I assume I'm in a huge minority here, but what about Eli, coming off the bye week, facing the same OAK D that just gave up Foles' monster day??

Andre Brown should be back to solidify the rushing attack, could work wonders for NYG offense to break out of this slump.

Eli also has a favorable schedule ahead, seeing OAK, GB, DAL, @WAS, @SD for his next 5. I think Eli could be a great fill in for Romo this week, next week on his bye, and week 14 @SD when DAL goes to CHI.

BigBen is another QB that is possibly on waivers that could help you in a pinch, if you own Romo.

v BUF this week - I'd rather start Romo
v DET next week on Romo's bye
v MIA week 14 when DAL goes to CHI

just some thoughts for Romo/Rodgers owners

I don't normally get excited over a young QB like Foles. But Vick is chronic health risk, and old. As for Foles' clunker game, just about every QB has had a clunker game this season. Even the phenomenal Peyton Manning - who is averaging 32 fantasy points per game - had a measly 17 points against the lowly Jacksonville Kittens.

Come on now Joe, yeah Peyton only put up 17 on Jacksonville but that was because he donated 3 touchdowns to Knowshon on the ground and they still scored 35 points in the game. In the Philly game that Foles imploded the Eagles put up 3 whole points. I don't think it's a comparable blow up game. Yes most quarterbacks have a bad one, but Foles has a little bit of history with this as well. It's not like he was a all-time backup that just got his first start. I would argue more that his last game with the 7 touchdowns was the anomaly. Last year he started 7 games and in those 7 games he threw less touchdowns than he did last week . . . 6 last year and 7 last week. Here are his fantasy points in all of his starts the last 2 years (10, 4, 4, 16, 35, 9, 16, 19, 35, 5, 59) So in his 11 starts he has scored 10 points or under in 5 of them (45%). He also has scored 35 points or more in 3 of them (27%). If you are going for the homerun start Foles. If you are going for a consistent 20 points, start Romo.

I agree with this. I'm picking up Foles this week, but I may start Dalton over him.

Yes, I know, my QB situation is not one to be desired.
