So far, Volquez is off to a "rocky" start. Coors Field is a tough place to make your debut for a new club.

Guys we cant put too much stock in Volquez's start today because it is Coors Field. WIth that said, I was leery of signing Volquez but Honeycutt hasnt worked with him for long so we will see.

He still needs to hit the strike zone a lot more often, some of his breaking pitches didn't even reach the plate. Still, there is room for improvement and if Honeycutt can get him at his most effective, I think our staff is set for the year.

Even with this loss im not disappointed. We took 2 o ut of 3 and will give our starters an extra day of rest which will help.

Yes, we know that the Dodgers do have some worms in that juicy looking apple in the persons of Marmol, League, Capuano and Volquez. None of these guys should be on the playoff Roster. Kasten needs to remind Ned that he can be replaced!!

A loss tonight, but nice to see the Dodger bats come to life and battle back. Michael Young came up with 3 hits and some RBI's, and even Juan Uribe seemed to break out of his slump. But for Volquez and Marmol, the Dodgers probably win this game. Enough of the experimenting. If the test tube blows up, don't repeat the experiment.

Ryu has some back stiffness. No point in taking any chances with him. The down side is we have to endure Capuano. Dusty must be licking his chops for Friday's game.
