Reds had the same shitty year in 2011 after an unexpected division title in 2010.

I knew there was too much talent on that team for their run to be a fluke, and that they'd bounce back in 2012.

Same goes for the Nats. They'll be back. They need to make the right call on a manager, but talent wise? They're good to go.

Davey is looking very old and the fact that he's not coddling Bryce means he's a dead man walking.

I think someone should hire Wally Backman.

I've thought from the beginning that we should have started these in the Penalty Box, but old habits die hard. We used to have this thread on CBS every workday for about a decade, and it was always on the MLB main board because it started out as a Yankee-Red Sox piss-fest, with a smattering of other assorted fans.

Nothing was too off-topic. If sports was the conversation starter, then fine, but it was never a "sports" thread.

The current hostility is because some of the guys who have been in the same group for a decade are no longer posting here, but at another site. That is all I feel like typing at the moment.

Davey announced his retirement earlier effective immediately after this season.

I don't know much about Wally Backman's managerial ability, but one guy in the Reds org. that someone needs to consider is Corky Miller.

He should be managing the Reds instead of Dusty.
