Speaking of the Yankees, and the $$ of baseball, the Yankees’ disabled list currently has a $95 million payroll.
However, and that said, the 9 players who started the game for the Yankees last night, plus Phelps the pitcher, had a combined yearly payroll of under $35MM.
It was good enough to beat the Astros anyways, and their $25 mil TOTAL team payroll.
