Agreed, but that's not how it will work. As unfair as it seems, IMO, Georgia will be out of the top 10....but they will be back.

Assuming this is UGA's one loss of the regular season, they lost at the right time, in the right manner, to the right team. Could easily see them climbing back into contention for a title run.

Probably should have waited to do yourn rankings since the Ville plays today...

I know that, and even mentioned it in my original post. But right now Louisville has a better record than Georgia :)

Really? I thought they looked great. 350 yards passing without going deep into Brian Kelly's playbook. No turnovers. The defense obviously has some work, but Diaco's proven he can run a defense and a lot of those guys were young.

they came out on fire in the first 6 minutes and then did absolutely nothing the rest of the game besides 1 long td pass where the linebacker and corner whiffed. the defense couldnt get off the field. if temples fg kicker was decent it is a 8 pt game going into halftime. nd's specials are still the worst in the country.

This is dudes own personal rankings.

He is doing a simple riser and faller method based off his personal ranks from before week 1.

In his first installment, he did not have CLEMSON ranked that high.

So, it was not Georgia losing to a top 10 opponent in his polls. It was Georgia losing to a top 15.

Based on that, it makes sense to drop them.

UGA fall doesn't bother me it's early and they will still have a shot at redemption. It would not matter if they fell 5 spots or 12 they have to crawl back and hope for some luck with other quality teams losing.

The old adage you can lose a game if it's early will definitely be in play with UGA.

OSU looked only moderately better than than MSU against a MAC team. And Iowa well.......
I was hoping for a better start by the B1G. Although the NU win was pretty good.

Here's the question I have. Let's assume that you have UGA ranked correctly at 19. Why would a team that only beat them by 3 at home move all the way up to #4. Shouldn't they be in the 12-18 range?

(Note: I think both teams should be top 10, I am just trying to understand the OPs thought process)

So the moral of the story iis to never schedule a tough OOC game on the road because you will have no sympathy. Got it.

Georgia proved they were every bit the team Clemson was. I agree in penalizing them for losing, but they won't fall lower than 12 or so in my poll.

No it's just the opposite. They will be rewarded.

Guaranty they will not fall out of the top 10 for going on the road and barely losing to the 8th ranked team in the country. No way.

I could put the somewhere 10-12.

So Florida does not allow a td from their opponent and falls three spots to 13, but Tosue allows 20 and stays the same? Yep makes sense:L

You don't get it.

Florida beat a team that went 9-4 and to a bowl game, but TEXAS beat a team that went 1-11, losing their last 11 games.

See how far Texas moved up?

Siiiiggghhh. Is it really that hard to grasp for Nebraska fans too???

The thread was risers, fallers, and rankings for "YOUR" list. I am terribly sorry if you are so dense that you are uncapable of forming your own opinions. I guess you simply accept that the media made a preseason ranking list - so that must be what everybody else has. I mean, just because there is a media poll I must have mirrored it, right?

For your information, I kept Texas within 1 spot of where I had them preseason. This should not be that difficult to comprehend.

No way in hell after this week's games that Ohio State is the third best team in the nation. Clemson would have devastated them yesterday.

You might as well forget the whole experiment HIZZLE.
I don't think anyone bothers to waste 2 seconds to read your explanations.
They just want to attack you.

Hizzlerocker had Texas move up 1 spot.

This is his list. He did not use the media pre-season poll.

He made his own pre-season poll.

Each week his is simply using the riser/faller methodology.

It is an experiment to see how his personal poll matches up with the national poll.

Texas moved up exactly 1 spot for its win.

If you think he had them too high, that is one thing.

But, it wasn't like he made the Horns jump 20 spots after their win....only 1 spot.

All the way down to 19. Quite the drop for a 3-point loss on the road against the team the OP ranks #4 in the nation.

Well when Georgia loses to probably the 15th best team in the nation it's what happens. Clemson possibly could be number 12

But would Urban have tried to choke Taj?

Clemson is a top 10 team. Ignoring that after their performance yesterday is pretty ridiculous.

interesting thread for the OP, kind of makes me worry about basic reading comprehension from some of the replies though. I'm far too lazy though to have my own top 25 and change how I would move them all. So below is improved/fallen teams;

Improved:
Washington
Clemson

Falling:
Ohio State
Boise State
Oregon State
Nebraska

I havent been impressed by any team so far; especially my own team. I've got a feeling it is gonna be at least 2 weeks before we have any idea what the top of the heap even is going to resemble. All this weekend reaffirmed in my mind is that you have to wait until they play the game to know anything.
