Never thought of this, no idea why ACC didn't go for WVU?

WVU has been competitive for years in football, and is geographically located near other ACC schools, fits in well with recruiting those regions. Makes more sense for WVU to be in the ACC than the Big 12.

It used to be said that WVU didn't have the academic quality to join the ACC, but that all went out the window when they let Louisville join...

No the SWC was already sunk from cheating the BIG 8 was just fine, the SWC ruined the Big 8 and then the big 12 to where it is now (poo poo)

Big 8's TV ratings were the worst in the country once OU was slapped with sanctions. There is a reason only Nebraska was making money in the Big 8 and that was b/c they were the only team in the Big 8 getting prime time games on national television. SWC's TV ratings went to shit mainly b/c of Aggy, TT, and Cougar High getting slapped with sanctions and getting their games yanked from being on TV. Both conferences had to merge or they were going to die. You're still pissed b/c the Big 12 wouldn't allow NU to recruit all of those dumb as fuck, illiterate partial qualifiers that couldn't get into any other school in the country. Don't be mad......

And when UNC got caught cheating/academic fraud, amd Syracuse had academic fraud and Notre Dame had academic fraud and Miami giving hooker boat rides and academic fraud ect. But..... standards en sech..
