Awwww damn ! I knew it was coming after they released that he had cancer. Such a gorgeous animal. I remember when they got him and all the excitement he brought clowning around in his habitat.

He wasn't much for the gameday trailer but in his habitat he was very outgoing. Most of the visiting fans ( first timers anyway) loved dropping by.

I agree that was old school intimidation of visiting teams. But LSU has come along way with his habitat.

I'm sorry to hear about Mike, LSU fans. I'm happy that me and my family were at least able to see him when we were down for the game the weekend before last. I had no idea he was that close to his end. It makes me sad.

My little girl really liked him. That was the main focus for her while we were down there and a big attraction for all of us. An hour before kickoff we completely lost her in the large crowd while walking from South to North outside the stadium. We were in complete panic and the 4 of us adults split off to look for her. We found her a few minutes later outside Mike's pen. She knew she was close to his habitat and wandered away to try to get a look at him again.
