More misses, less efficient shots?RIP to a great coach.
I looked at his player stats, which are very good. Why is that players back in the day got so many rebounds? Sloan was a 6'5" shooting guard who averaged 7.4 rebounds per game for his career, and he had seasons averaging 8 and 9 per game.
The Stockton/Malone teams turned me into an NBA fan. John Stockton is still my favorite athlete ever.

Because players back then were better at rebounding, just like they were better at everything else.
He looked like Jeff Hornacek’s dad in the 90’s.
